Description: The adventure begins the day you arrive....from settling into your cabin and meeting new friends to venturing out together for the opening campfire. There are tons of instructed activities to participate in; arts n’ crafts, aerobics, archery, BB gun, dance, canoeing, basketball, baseball, soccer, trail biking, drama, outdoor skills, kayaking, riflery, tennis, swimming, springboard diving, newspaper, volleyball, weight training, plus optional choice activities like horseback riding or ropes on the camp’s 19 element challenge course. There’s more! Leisure time and cabin group activities like; fishing, tetherball, horseshoes, 4-square, marshmallow roast, hiking, sports, and more. The camp store is open everynight after supper. And there’s still more, those special days and field trips; the McConnell Olympics & Luau Feast, Christmas in July, Old Fashioned 4th of July with field games, tug-o-war, watermelon eating contest, swim races, and burgers on the grill; Field Trips like tubing down the Icheetucknee River, crystal clear Doe Lake in the Ocala National Forest, Juniper Springs, or Crescent Beach & St. Augustine, plus optional choice trips like Wild Waters, the one day Silver River Run, or our latest addition Doe Lake Trail Cruise, an overnight swim, banquet, and dance trip for Senior Campers. |
