Once again Sidwell Summer heads off to explore Alaska. For those who love the outdoors and nature, and don’t mind sleeping bags, camp chow and days filled with vigorous exercise, Alaska is the ultimate experience! This 18-day visit will sample some of the finest wild places in the world. Additional Information : Our Director, Dave Wood, is an experienced canoeing instructor and avid bird watcher, and has taught 8th grade environmental science at Sidwell Friends for the past 20 years. He has explored Africa, Australia, and Central and South America, as well as the United Sates and Canada. He has also led student trips to Guatemala, Russia, the Puget Sound, the Appalachians, and the Virginia seacoast.
