For many who return year after year it is a life-changing event, you will know from the moment it begins that your greatest challenge will be going home! Once you enter the Howling Wolf experience, you'll never look back. Join us this summer on one of our two sessions, our Canadian Rockies Adventurer Camp and our Canadian Rockies Outdoor Leaders Camp. The Sessions: The adventure camp explores the breathtaking Southern Canadian Rockies. Explore the wildness of the Kootenay Region of South Eastern BC. This program is a fun and exhilarating way to spend part of your summer. You will experience hiking, backpack trips, beach camping, horseback riding, mountain biking, water skiing and tubing, exciting whitewater rafting trips, natural hot springs and more. You will stay in a combination of camping sites, hostels and Inns within our area and meals will be provided through a combination of group camp cooking, restaurants, and at the places we stay. The leadership camp will explore the wondrous Canadian Rockies and a variety of outdoor activities; it will also introduce you to the concepts of outdoor leadership. Building confidence in your abilities and skills during your program will help to develop the leadership skills that can be transferred to many situations in life. Program activities include; hiking, backpacking expeditions, mountain biking, whitewater rafting, first aid and CPR certification, map and compass, route and campsite selection, backcountry cuisine, and group dynamic and teambuilding sessions. Our program will also include a service project in the local area which may include wildlife or fisheries enhancement projects, watershed clean-up projects, or ecosystem restoration projects. |
