Players from all over the globe have visited the academy with many different expectations. Whether it is just to improve their skills or help in finding a school to play ball and continue with their education, the staff at "Playball" work with each player to make these dreams come true.
Fred Ferreira, who has over 30 years of professional scouting experience and running baseball schools is the President of "Playball". Mr. Ferreira works with the Florida Marlins as Senior Vice President and Director of International Operations. His keen eye for finding new talent has led him to be known as one of the finest scouts in baseball today. Some of his players who have made it to the Major Leagues are Vladimir Guerrero, Bernie Williams, Javier Vazquez, Jose Vidro, Roberto Kelly, Hensley Meulens, Orlando Cabrera. They are just a few as he has a list of 38 players who are in the major leagues or have played in the big leagues. Mr. Ferreira, when in town, can be seen each day at the academy observing the workouts and talking to the players
