Camp Focus:

Arts Camps: Dance   Arts Camps: Performing Arts   Sports Camps: Golf   Sports Camps: Soccer   Sports Camps: Tennis

Description: Overnight campers will enjoy a variety of special activities such as movies, bowling, ice-skating, game nights, talent shows, camp Olympics, dances, swim parties, and more. We'll also take evening and weekend trips to local attractions such as the Water Park in Highland Park, Arena Football, Chicago Fire (soccer), the Ravinia Festival, Lake Michigan Beaches, Cubs or White Sox games and more.

Optional evening and weekend trips are available for day and residential campers for a nominal price of $75 per trip, which includes all admissions, lunches and dinners, and travel via air-conditioned coaches or van. Destinations include Six Flags Great America, Downtown Chicago, Navy Pier, Milwaukee Summer Fest, Kenosha Fun Park, and more. It's all part of our commitment to making your Great Lakes Camps experiences as enjoyable as possible.

Great Lakes Camps are located at Lake Forest College which has been describes as "picture-perfect"--nestled just minutes from Lake Michigan on Chicago's North Shore. This prestigious private liberal arts institution is only 30 miles from downtown Chicago.

Campers have private and semi-private air-conditioned rooms. You'll have full use of the classroom buildings, creative & fine arts studios, the library and the dining hall. Sports facilities include 4 tennis courts, basketball courts, an Olympic-size indoor pool and a gymnasium. Golfers will play on courses and driving ranges within a convenient distance from the college. Dance will take place at nearby Lake Forest Academy.

Last year, more people applied than we can accommodate. This is because we intentionally maintain a low camper-to-instructor ratio, and room is limited. So if you plan to join us, please send your completed application and deposit as soon as possible to reserve your space. Early-Bird, multiple session, and sibling discounts available.
