Description: Camp Chinqueka is conveniently located at the foothills of the Berkshires, in the heart of scenic Litchfield County, Connecticut. Daily instruction by sports specialist counselors promote skill building and teamwork. On weekends, track and field meets are held and the three camp tribal teams compete against one another in the three age groups. Among the structured sports at Awosting, the following are fit into the campers' scheduled activities: baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball, soccer, tennis, gymnastics, golf, fencing, martial arts, mountain biking, archery, kayaking, rowing, water skiing, swimming, windsurfing, canoeing, horseback riding, lifesaving. |
